NAME:           LARRY L. CAMPBELL
HABITAT:     Olathe, KS
DOB:              5/17
HAIR:             Yeah, some.

INSTRUMENT:  Guitar(s), Banjo, Mandolin, Harmonica, and Vocals

Larry Campbell, head honcho, and name-sake of LCF has been writing, playing, and singing music for almost as long as he can remember.   At the age of ten, Larry taught himself to play the guitar and has been making music ever since.  He plays rhythm and lead guitar, (both electric and acoustic), and has most recently taught himself banjo and mandolin as well.  Larry has also been known to crank on a mean bluesy harmonica at times.  Some have compared his vocal talent to the likes of David Crosby, Phil Collins, and Sting.  He needs no comparison; his voice stands strong on its own.

When he isn't playing music, he plays with money -- that's right, he is a banker by day.  He graduated with a degree in Business from Southern Nazarene University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Mid-America Nazarene University where he moonlights as a professor of business.  If that weren't enough, Larry has also had a successful political career as an Olathe City Council Member, Mayor of Olathe, and Kansas State Representative.  He makes his home in Olathe with his patient and loving wife Gigi.  They have two gorgeous daughters, Jessica and Valerie.

WEIRD FACTS ABOUT LARRY:

-- Born in a boot heel and it wasn't in Italy!
-- Rarely writes down the words of a new song before singing it.

HABITAT:     Kansas City, MO

D
OB:              06/11
HAIR:             Blonde by choice!

INSTRUMENT:  Guitar (of various colors) and Vocals

R. Lorraine Taylor is probably the longest living survivor of the LCF band.  I.E. She has stuck by Larry for more than 20 years now!  The harmonies that she and Larry first meshed in the mid 80's have only sweetened over the years, particularly with the other vocal talent that has come to LCF.  Lorraine sings, writes, and plays music.  Although Lorraine took piano lessons from about the age of 8, her first love is guitar, which she began playing at 13 years of age.

After graduating with a degree in Psychology from Olivet Nazarene University, Lorraine moved to Kansas City and worked at Nazarene Headquarters for 6 years.  She began teaching after receiving her Masters Degree from UMKC in 1990.  So, when she isn’t singing with LCF, Lorraine gets to teach high school kids in the Blue Springs School District.

WEIRD FACTS ABOUT R. LORRAINE:

-- She rarely tells anyone what the R. stands for.
-- She taught herself guitar while living in a country that had NO TV!!!!  Just goes
to show you what good things can come out of boredom!

NAME:        CHRISTY J. KUZMICH
HABITAT:  Olathe, KS
DOB:           08/20
HAIR:          Natural True Blonde!!  (No, really)
INSTRUMENT:  Violin, Fiddle, Keyboards, and Vocals

Christy Kuzmich - not only the most beautiful, but probably the most qualified, classical musically trained and educated member of LCF!  It no wonder, since she grew up playing both violin and piano in Colorado with a family of musicians.  Her entire family plays instruments and in some ways Christy grew up as a member of the band!  She graduated with a degree in violin performance from Olivet Nazarene University and later played with the Kansas City Civic Orchestra.  In 1995 Christy gave up the "Civic spot light" to play with LCF.  Since joining LCF, Christy has also given up on exclusively playing violin and now plays the fiddle as well!!  She also sings lead and harmony vocals, plays keyboards and some rhythm instruments.  Look out Shoji Tabuchi, here comes Christy-girl!!

When not on stage with LCF, Christy is a loving, patient, persistent, fun mother to Jordan, Benson, Ashley, plus two grown children Kristina, and Michael; wonderful wife to Gary; teacher of piano students; and liaison for "Docs Who Care", an organization that connects health professionals and their resources to rural communities.

WEIRD FACTS ABOUT CHRISTY

-- can get so tickled that even a number can send her into fits of hysteria (really, try it.  Try #37!)
-- has never been a public school teacher, but has the glare of a female army sergeant teaching first graders after mandatory military retirement.  Trust me, you don't want to be on the receiving end of that look!!!

NAME:           PAT BRYANT
HABITAT:     Lenexa, KS
DOB:              11/17
HAIR:             Still has it!

INSTRUMENT:  Bass and MORE Bass

Pat Bryant began playing and writing music when he was just five years old.  He would compose songs on the piano by writing the letter of the note down on paper -- since he could not yet read music!  He played various brass instruments during his school years and was in the Nebraska Marching Band throughout college.  At 14, Pat stood up next to an upright bass, three years later, at 17, he went for a smaller electric version of bass.  After majoring in music for three and a half years, Pat changed his major to Pharmacy and at that point, he put music away for about 20 years.  THANKFULLY, God had other plans for Pat and called him back to the bass in 1996 to play with a church praise/worship band.  Once he picked up the bass again, he has not put it down.  Fortunately for LCF, he started playing bass for them in 2002, upright, down low, electric, and acoustic -- he plays them all and plays them well!!

Pat's full title is actually Dr. Patrick J. Bryant, Pharm.D., FSCIP Director, Drug Information Center Clinical Associate Professor, UMKC School of Pharmacy.  So, that's what he does when he isn't playing bass.  He also spends time with his family.  He is married to Peggy, and tries to keep up with rambunctious sons Sam and Josh.

WEIRD FACTS ABOUT PAT:

-- Outdoor pests find him absolutely irresistible!!  In fact, they have tried to love him to death!
-- After going on a low carb diet, he found a stand up bass that had done the same thing!

NAME:       DON MILLER
HABITAT: Lenexa, KS
DOB:          9/12

INSTRUMENT: Lead Guitar and Vocals

Don Miller has been a part of LCF for many years.  First by recording them in his studio and then playing with them for the last two years.  Don began playing guitar at the age of 10, and then quit.  Started playing again at 18, and quit.  Picked it up again in his 20’s and thank God, he kept playing.  He is the chief engineer at Airborne Audio Productions where LCF has recorded their last 4 CD’s.  That is not only his day job, but his all consuming passion and drive at the moment.  The Lord has lead Don to take a break, a hiatus, a sabbatical if you will, from LCF in order to give his business the attention it needs at the moment.  It will be exciting to see what God has in store for Don and his awesome wife Tara as they continue giving of themselves for him.  Don and Tara, we are praying for you and we’ll watch this space!!!

WEIRD FACTS ABOUT DON:

-- He almost lays down while riding his bike, but he can ride 150 miles at a time!
-- He spent some time in Oklahoma as the consummate morning DJ!!!! (Ask him
         for a demo!!!)

NAME:       SCOTT PROWELL

HABITAT: Lenexa, KS

DOB:          08/08
HAIR:         Curly Brown (more hair than Larry or Pat put together!!)
INSTRUMENT:  Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Dobro, Fiddle, Vocals & on & on &...

One of the newer members to join the LCF family is Scott Prowell.  Wow!  Scott is on loan to LCF from his first musical family, “Spontaneous Combustion.”  He began playing guitar around the age of eleven and added a new instrument every few years, including banjo, mandolin, pedal steel, dobro, fiddle and another stringed instrument no one has ever even heard of before.  He played in a variety of country-rock bands through college before returning to his acoustic music roots.  Attending Central Church of the Nazarene, Scott came to know Jeff McBee, sound man for LCF and mentioned that he wouldn’t mind playing with LCF sometime if they ever needed him.  (See “History” for more details on the miraculous way God has provided for LCF when members feel the need to move on.)

By day, Scott is Dr. Scott Prowell, a Kansas City area chiropractor in private practice since 1984.  On “weekends” when he puts down the banjo/mandolin/guitar/dobro/etc. long enough, he is Farmer Scotty on his Lenexa Kansas horse farm where he lives with his wonderful wife Cynthia and their four children; two sons Justin and Bryan; and two daughters Sadie and Emma.   Cynthia is also a musician (keyboards), and you can find them both every Sunday morning playing in the Praise Band at Central in Lenexa.

WEIRD FACTS ABOUT SCOTT:

--He cannot read music, plays strictly by ear.
--Playing music with LCF has turned him into a Frog!!  (No, really, click on the photo)

NAME:       KENDON POWELL
      HABITAT: Kansas City, MO
      DOB:         2/10
      INSTRUMENT: Percussion, Djembe, Congas

Kendon is the newest member of the group. Kendon has been crafting his skill on percussion since his high school years. After graduating form Kansas City Christian School in 2004, Kendon spent a year in Northern Ireland with a program called Master's Commission, a discipleship training program. While in Ireland, Kendon played with a local praise band and also played with Ian Masters who lead worship at the Kairos Worship Conference in Northern Ireland. In addition to playing with LCF, Kendon also plays in the praise band at New Day Church here in Kansas City.

Kendon is currently a student working on his Liberal Arts degree at UMKC. When not in class or with the band, he spends his days at Kansas City Aviation Center working as a Line Service Technician.

Kendon is quite at home on the djembe and adds a fresh sound to the group. Oh yeah, in addition to percussion, Kendon is also one of the "techies" for LCF helping to setup sound. The kid is really hard to keep up with making most of the group feel older than they really are.

WEIRD FACTS ABOUT KENDON:

-- Kendon's first  few gigs on percussion were with "TribalStreet" - a street corner
percussion group playing on the Plaza in Kansas City.
-- One of Kendon's lifelong goals has been to defy gravity, ask him about falling down
         stairs, high ropes and flying.
